Our Davis weather station has just had a major service.
Station brought down to ground, anemometer bearing replaced, internal and external clean removing dust and webs. All functions working Ok.

Phil Perrin has made and installed a winch system to raise and lower the weather station mast making it easier to service in the future.

Our weather station is popular with the brigade and locals as it provides local wind - speed and direction, Temperature, Relative Humidity and Rainfall.

Local weather is important to the brigade to assist with roadside burning and fires.
The nearest BOM weather stations are She 0aks - 60kms away but at approximately the same altitude and Ballarat Aerodrome - 40kms away and over 200metres higher.
